WE DON'T MAKE BRAKES, WE MAKE THEM BETTER. | |

NRS stands for NUCAP Retention System, a brake friction attachment technology developed by NUCAP Industries to address a big problem with today's integrally molded brake pads.

BRAKE DELAMINATION, PAD FAILURE AND SAFETY |
Friction delamination is -- in most passenger car applications -- a progressive breakdown of the adhesive bond between the friction pad and backing plate. It can start at the leading/trailing edge or even the center of a brake pad due to heat, plate flex, corrosion, or rapid heat/quench cycles (think heavy braking in a rainstorm). << Roll Over Numbers for more information. You might call it edge lift, or rust jacking -- or something else - but the reality is that you see (or maybe just hear it) more often than you might think. It's probably there every time you replace a set of pads that started making noise long before their due date. You know the ones: pads with 50 per cent of the friction still on them and no obvious reason for them to make noise, judder during braking, or feel slightly "squishy." The noise associated with delamination is simple to understand: the separation of the pad from the plate sets up vibration that the system (calliper, friction, rotor and shim) was not designed to cancel or muffle. The clash of the designed resonance of the brake system and the new vibration creates delamination noise. The result? Pads that get replaced before they're due.

NRS - NUCAP RETENTION SYSTEM |
NRS "Solid Plate" eliminates plate flexing - another cause of delamination and friction flaking/cracking. | NRS-Equipped Pads provide 100% stopping power to the last millimetre of friction. |
